Polaroid OneStep Flash camera not working?

I have a polaroid OneStep Flash camera (from the 80s) I bought off the internet a few months ago and I bought a pack of expired film off Ebay recently. Loading he film worked and I took a picture on it which worked but not it appears not to be working. Whilst I was shopping at the supermarket, I left it in the trolley (I don't think anything was on top of it) and at the end I found that the camera had printed out a photo without me taking it (the camera was folded up) The camera had been facing down and the picture seemed to be stuck in the rollers so I had to pull it out. Then I realised that the black sheet of paper that is ejected on top of the film (the protector) was also stuck and rolled up just in the shutter so I had to pull it out with a bit of force. Now the camera's light will not come on and I have tried replacing the same pack of film into the camera. Could the battery in the film be flattened and I actually need some new film, or is the camera broken? Thanks

Also... The battery is included in the film pack (as you know) and they DO expire eventually.
