Can I bring large quantities of aerosol cans in my checked luggage?

I am moving overseas soon and I was planning on stocking up on this aersol cosmetics that I know I can only buy here. So I was gonna buy like 20 bottles of them and put them in my checked luggage. The TSA website says something about "aerosols in limited quantities." Have any of you ever tried bringing multiple aerosol cans in your checked luggage?

Do not do this.
Aerosol propellants are almost always flammable (butane gas), and large quantities can be pose a serious danger to the plane. Large quantities of flammable gas in an enclosed space is asking for trouble.

The "limited" quantities that the TSA refers to is for personal use toiletries and the like. If you read that page, you also read that aerosols are PROHIBITED in all luggage (except for the small personal use quantities).

It says - among other things:

The aggregate quantity of these hazardous materials carried by each person may not exceed 2 kg (70 ounces) by mass or 2 L (68 fluid ounces) by volume and the capacity of each container may not exceed 0.5 kg (18 ounces) by mass or 500 ml (17 fluid ounces) by volume.

If you bring 20 aerosol cans, if anyone is paying attention, then those <> be taken out of your suitcase, AND, it is possible that the TSA might question you about it. 20 cans is a lot more than they are willing to allow. 1 or 2 full size cans, maybe, 20 - no way.
