Schoolies: Gold Coast or Bali?

Me and my mates are looking ahead to schoolies 2011. We wanted to go to Byron, but everywhere looks pretty full, so we've moved our attention elsewhere. We have found a nice apartment at $400 each on the GC, but Bali also looks good (we're from Melbourne btw), but it's unpredictable and some parents are uneasy. Where do you think we should go?
But from schoolies you don't want a holiday, you want a party. Can Bali deliver in this reguard?

Does anyone have expierience with travelling to Bali or anywhere else in south east Aisa?

If yes; Bali would be good - there is always a party going on. If not, I would suggest Gold Coast.

You don't wanna screw it up overseas - If no one has experience with Asia, you can accidently do something without realising and you will be in the crappers with the Police!
